The main vision  behind the design of the plaza was the creation of a homogeneous, fluid surface that fosters a tranquil and peaceful space.

Initial steps in designing the plaza consisted of tracing the important pedestrian traffic patterns which feed the buildings, ramps and bus stations. Important plaza movements have been differentiated from the random movements by different pavement treatments. The sidewalks have been paved with stone arranged in orthogonal forms, expressing an orderly movement of people and in the central areas of the plaza the stone is arranged in a random form, illustrating the endless possibilities of trails and activities.
